While his stay there, Ali was approached by army officials to feature in a video dedicated to the army on occasion of 'Air force Day' of which he gladly agreed to be a part of.
As a token of thanks for his kind gesture, the air force and army commandos in uniform reached the Bang Baaja Baarat set, performed the military drill and gave the Indian Army's salute to Ali. The entire cast was bedazzled and everyone wondered what was happening until Ali told them about the video he was a part of.
Ali expressed "The officials called me the young prince of Bollywood. Guess I was in one of the better costumes (smiles). They met me on the sets of Yashraj's Bang Baaja Baaraat. It was a day of lot of honour and pride for me because I became a voice for them amongst their own. And I got a chance to reach out to the real heroes of our land who are out there slogging day and night on a platform called democracy in our country. I salute the Indian Air force and army"
