The Mahajan family saga would find its place on celluloid with filmmaker Ranjit Sharma all set to make film on strained relationship between Pramod and Praveen, which led to the tragic death of the late BJP leader.

To be titled Main Mahajan Bol Raha Hun, the film will be launched in July and will be ready for release by February 2007, Sharma told today.

Asked if he had taken permission from Praveen Mahajan in this regard, Sharma said it was not necessary.

Mahajan saga is now in the public domain and making a film on it will not be difficult, he said, adding that Amjad Khan had written the screen-play and would also direct the film.

"We plan to rope in Raj Babbar for Pramod Mahajan's role and Anupam Kher for Praveen's character. Karan Khanna has been short listed to play Rahul Mahajan's part," he said.

"However, the casting is not finalized and after it is finalized we would approach Babbar, Kher and Khanna, he added.
