Govinda held a press conference at his Juhu home yesterday after the Supreme Court on Monday directed him to apologise to his fan, Santosh Rai.

The actor had allegedly slapped him in 2008. Govinda claimed that he did not have an ego problem and that he was waiting for the Supreme Court's letter.

The star also said that he is doubtful of Santosh being a fan and as he went on with the case for years.

The court observed that an actor should not indulge in fighting in a public place. Govinda has been told to settle the matter outside court by expressing regret for his conduct or face prosecution for criminal intimidation and assault.
