Although she keeps coming to the city to visit family and for work, the actress hasn't seen much of the city in a while. On one such visit, we caught up with her on her close connection with Delhi and how she's gotten her daughter acquainted with the city. The discussion did turn towards her career choices and her opinion of the current Hindi film industry too. Excerpts:
I keep flying in and out of the city, I have no concept of time.My time flies, which is probably a good sign because my life has been hectic forever - time has flown ever since I was 19. I feel I was here just yesterday. I haven't seen Delhi enough in a while, but since I am married to Abhishek, we have a home here in Delhi, so that makes me connect to the city closely. Most of the times I have travelled with Aaradhya. Last time, that I can recall, was when I wanted to go for a quick drive and take Aaradhya around the monuments here. We come to this city so many times and this is our capital and we have so many wonderful monuments, which, I dare say, we take for granted because we are driving around them all the time - and then suddenly, I was revisiting the city with a kid. I took her around India Gate, open parks and lots of other open spaces. She knows a lot more now, at that time she was still getting acquainted, but I managed that one drive with her.
