Actress-producer Dia Mirza who is actively associated with many social causes recently became the torchbearer for Genesis Foundation. The agenda of this organization is to spread the positive message 'Giving life a chance' by aiding children in need of medical help.

Dia asserted that every fortunate person should give back to the society and share their good fortune with the less privileged. Children and youngsters are not only the healthy future of our nation, but they also hold the power to bring about a change, for which they need to be inspired and motivated. That can only happen if every individual donates their time and good fortune.

Speaking about the Foundation Dia said, `Often in urban life, when we are caught up in the rut of making a living, we forget that there are many invisible children that need our help. I am very proud to be the torchbearer and help Genesis make a difference in the lives of so many children. I believe that every child has a right to live.`

Genesis Foundation is a non-profit trust which provides financial assistance to children from orphanages and underprivileged families, who need life-saving or life-changing medical interventions. The organization got Dia Mirza on board for her influence and also for her kind hearted work in the past. This association was initiated to encourage people to contribute towards this cause for children.
