Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and four other Indian film personalities Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and
Sonali Bendre have been charged with poaching endangered black buck during a movie shoot.

A couple of months back, Salman Khan was found guilty and he was
sentenced to five years in prison. Salman Khan was kept in confinement for three days before being
released on bail and he had to pay penalty also.
All the stars have been charged under the Indian Penal Code and Wildlife Protection Act. On Monday, all
the accused were present in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. The trial of the case is set for next
month which originally was filed by the local Bishnoi community, who reveres and worships the black
bucks.
Though the court had framed charges earlier also, it was directed by an additional district and sessions
judge to reframe them after some charges were dropped as the actors had filed a revision petition which was
accepted on May 4 as described in the media report.
Magistrate Dalpat Singh charged Salman Khan with poaching under the Wildlife Act and Saif Ali Khan,
Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre with abetment during the court proceedings on Monday in the
northwestern town of Jodhpur.
