A team of Mhow police from Madhya Pradesh is in Mumbai to probe a complaint lodged by Prakash Jaju, former secretary to Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, alleging that the actor and her father had sent him threatening SMSs over a financial dispute.

The Mhow police visited Priyanka Chopra's house in suburban Oshiwara yesterday to record statement of her father, Ashok Chopra, sources said.

DCP Amitabh Gupta confirmed that the Mhow police team had arrived in Mumbai, but said the local police was not associated with the probe.

Jaju and Chopra reportedly had a dispute over some financial dealings. The actor had earlier filed a complaint against Jaju in which she claimed her former secretary had theratened her.

In a counter-complaint at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, Jaju claimed that the actor had threatened him of dire consequences if the issues between them were not settled.

Jaju also said he received calls from a person claiming to be underworld don Chhota Shakeel, asking him to settle the dispute.
