"The standards for a typical Hindi cinema will have to be raised irreversibly after Krissh. The special effects are totally new to Indian cinema. In Dubai I saw the frenzy the film generated. I just hope it lives up to expectations. Krissh is super-special for me. I had so much fun doing it.
But isn't it a totally hero-centric flick? " Hrithik plays the title role, like Spiderman, Batman, so obviously it's his film. But my part is not just supportive. I'm there to help Hrithik to save the world at the end."
Priyanka preens proudly about her part. "I play a broadcast journalist. Like most NRIs she's a curious traveler in India. During her travel she meets this boy with amazing powers...I fell in love with this project instantaneously.
It's a character of a young naïve curious girl which I haven't played before. It's actually a character much closer to what I am in real life than most of what I've played. It brought out another dimension in me as an actress."
After Akshay Kumar, with whom she's featured in four consecutive blockbusters, she's hoping to make another very successful pair with Hrithik.
"I know Duggu and I look good together. People tell me I look good with all my heroes. Both the Roshans made me feel thoroughly at home. So I had great fun doing Krissh."
