With lots of World concerts comes a lot of money. No wonder, Shahid Kapoor is on shopping spree these days. The actor also threw a house-warming party for his plush new apartment where bubbly Kareena played the perfect host.

But with lots of money also come the lots of troubles.

Yesterday, Shahid appeared before the customs department here to record his statement in regard to alleged tax duty evasion on his imported car.

The actor, who was summoned last week to appear in person, appeared today at the customs collectorate in south Mumbai and gave his statement, officials said but refused to disclose what he had stated.

The customs had seized Kapoor's imported car recently and had returned it back to the actor after he has given an undertaking to furnish all details of the payment made by him.

Earlier, the actors who have come under the customs scanner for alleged tax duty evasion on imported car are Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan and Suniel Shetty.

All three of them have given statements to the customs authorities and disclosed the mode of their payment.
