The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition challenging the Maharashtra government's decision to permit the construction of a multi-storied building near a heritage building at suburban Bandra, which is the residence of film actor Shah Rukh Khan.
The order came from a bench of Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice C K Thakker who did not find any fault with the Bombay high court, which threw the plea out.
The high court had dismissed the petition filed by Cyril Thomas Mecwan, who had alleged that Khan got the plan approved from the government by using his 'influence'.
