/> Even as he waited for the release of Madhur Bhandarkar's Corporate, where he played a cameo, Sammir Dattani had a secret up his sleeve. His first Telugu film Amirthvarsham is also releasing this Friday.

The advantage of being a multi-lingual actor is that you can be heard talking in two different languages simultaneously. Sammir Dattani who's known as mega-star Dhyaan in Andhra Pradesh is all set crossover with his first ever Telugu film.

Laughs Sammir, "I'd like to think I'm the only actor in the world to have two releases in two different languages on the same Friday. Amrithvarsham is actually the dubbed Telugu version of my Kannada hit Amrithdhare.

The rights were bought by a prominent banner in Telugu and we re – shot portions of the film for 10 - 12 days in Hyderabad. Ramya Krishnan and I had lots of fun doing the film again. Old friend and new language...it was quite an experience.

It was positioned like any other mainstream Telugu film. In Hyderbad I was thrilled by the Telugu audiences' response to this passionate and intense love story. This remake is done very professionally. I was confident the outcome would be positive."

And now this Friday Sammir stars in the Kannada comedy Jackpot. "I play an incorrigible skirt chaser who dies and is re-born as a girl and gets a taste of his own chauvinistic medicine."

Plum offers in Telugu have already strarted coming in. "Now I guess I've Hindi, Kannada and Telugu careers to look after," grins Sammir.

Back home in Mumbai there's Corporate on the same day as Amrithvarsham where reviewers are wondering about his walk-on part.

"But it was always a guest appearance! I did it just to be a part of such a gifted cast.

From Bipasha and K. K Menon to Harsh Chhaya and Rajat Kapoor, there were so many talented actors on the sets, I felt I was in an acting school. And after seeing how Madhur handled his actors in Chandni Bar, Satta and Page 3 who wouldn't want to be in his film?"
