Speculation is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is considering proposing Amitabh Bachchan's name as the next President of India.

The current President, Pranab Mukherjee, completes his term next year. Amar Singh, a former close aide of Bachchan, has reportedly stated that he had received information about it.

Last month, Shatrughan Sinha, during an event in Patna, had also said that it will be a matter of pride if the superstar, a cultural icon, was made President. Hearing speeches in the Big B's deep baritone would be sheer delight, wouldn't it?
