Reports of Bollywood actor Uday Chopra breaking-up with his rumoured girlfriend Nargis Fakhri over a message on WhatsApp has been doing the rounds today. The actor has finally broken his silence and issued a statement.

Here's what he has to say:

"I normally don't respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However these are all untrue."

There was lot of speculation about Nargis Fakhri's no-show at events for her release 'Azhar'. It was said that she was unwell and has flown off to New York. It was also reported that she has had a nervous breakdown. The actress will also be missing from the promotions of her next film 'Housefull 3'.
