In real life she is pretty much like her character in the film.
"I am a Punjabi girl from London and always wanted to be an actress. I first performed on stage when I was just three years old. In 'Dil Diya Hai' I play Neha, a middle class Punjabi girl from India who is holidaying in London.
"She is a young, bubbly, happy-go-lucky kind of a girl. She is adamant and no one can take her for a ride," said Geeta.
Geeta admits that she went through the first day jitters but her co-stars, Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit Patel, helped her in settling down.
"I was nervous and worried about my shots. I had a demanding role to play so I wanted all my shots to go well.
"Emraan and Ashmit are extremely humble and cooperative. Even director Aditya Datt made me comfortable from day one. He is a young guy so he understands our generation. He knew exactly what he wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Neha."
She is more than happy with the way her role has shaped up in the film.
"I am extremely happy and satisfied with my role in the film. I'm glad I got a chance to exhibit my dancing and acting skills. Moreover, I got a chance to be both glamorous and de-glamorous."
