Despite that, the friendship of this actor-producer jodi really did seem unbreakable, although it had suffered a dent recently. But the inevitable has happened - the two buddies have had an acrimonious spat and are no longer on talking terms.

An industry insider says, `The producer used to guide the actor with regard to his projects and endorsements, but over a period of time, an air of distrust crept in.

The actor's recent film did not do well at the box office and he feels he lags behind his contemporaries in terms of commercial success. So, he blamed the producer for getting him all the wrong projects and putting his career in jeopardy. Even people close to the actor have told him the same thing. The producer friend was hurt by the comment, leading to a heated exchange. Now they are not speaking to each other.`

After the spat, the actor's work has been handed over to another person and the producer is no longer in charge of making work-related decisions on his behalf. `It doesn't look like they will patch up any time soon.
