Actress Sherlyn Chopra has sent a legal notice to film-journalist Upala K Basu Roy, alias Upala KBR, alleging defamation.

While her legal team is preparing a backgrounder to sue the said journalist, Sherlyn has stated in the notice that she believes Upala KBR has attacked her reputation by using derogatory terms like "air-headed", "B-town wannabe", "star-sublet" and "split personality" to describe her in an article because of her refusal to part with information about her personal life to the journalist.

In the notice, she has also questioned the authenticity of the said journalist's statements on her career moves and has claimed that the article has been written out of "grudge, malice and vilification for her, in calculated retaliation" towards her.
