The epic adventure-romance, set in the era of the Indus Valley civilization, traces the lives of Indigo farmer Sarman (Hrithik) and Chaani (Pooja) in the pre-historic Indus Valley. Sarman meets Chaani, the daughter of a priest, predicted to be the origin of a new society. Sarman uncovers the secrets about Chaani, about Mohenjo Daro and about his own past that set his life on a roller coaster ride. So does Sarman succeeds in his objective? To know, you have to wait till August 12th, when "Mohenjo Daro" will hit the big screen.

Although, it took almost three years for Lagaan-wizard to develop the premise of "Mohenjo Daro". But after seeing the trailer of the movie it`s quite conspicuous that we won`t repent waiting for this larger than life cine spectacle of Ashutosh.

The film was shot in Bhuj and Mumbai with short schedules in Jabalpur and Thane and is scheduled to release along with Akki`s `Rustom` on August 12, 2016.
