Sonakshi Sinha's character in her upcoming film, 'Akira' has a deep gash on one side of her face.

The scar has an interesting back story to it. Director A R Murugadoss wanted to establish that she has gone through enough, but is still strong to stand up and fight it out.

Murugadoss' logic is that every mark on our body has a story behind it. Similarly, Akira has a past injury to remind her of the time gone by.
