Paheli opens Zimbabwe film festival

Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer "Paheli", based on a love story about a girl who falls in love with a ghost, opened the ninth Zimbabwe International Film Festival at the Libertie Cinema Complex here.

The 10-day festival, which ends Sep 3, focusses on India and Poland, according to the organisers.

Apart from film screenings, various master classes, seminars, workshops on animation and new technologies are being organised.

Forty countries including Germany, Kenya, Poland, South Africa, Britain and Zimbabwe are taking part in the festival.

A few award-winning documentaries tackling issues like identity, gender, war and reconciliation and urban culture have been selected for screening.

The panel of jury includes Sunsleey Chamunorwa, editor of The Financial Gazette, Soukaina Edom, choreographer, and ZTV's Benson Mufunde.
