His first album was a mega-success (Stereo Nation) and the next one (Carol) was a damp squib (okay, lukewarm) so the new album might be a feather in his cap.
Pyar Ho Gaya is inspired from Cher`s `Believe.` The London based artist has a winner in his hands with the combination of melody and percu-perfect rhythms. Taz croons the sensuous Galan Gooriyan with deserved Nazakat (poise). However, the globalisation seems to have taken its toll. Hence the interception of English lyrics from an NRI has crept in the Hindi music too, in that respect it is not a Hindi music score either.
Once again the `Believe` hangover is apparent in Nazran, Teri Vargi Nahin, etc. Chummi Deh Deh perhaps won`t help those aspiring for a Chummi; it ain`t seductive enough. But the foot-tapping Let`s go dancing is pretty close to Stereo Nation`s Don`t break my heart.
Another hep number, with the Punjabi flavour of Galan Gooriyan is well executed by Taz with his supple vocals. Pyar Ho Gaya is one song that compels you to push the rewind button. Rest of the arias have maintained a good tempo but none of the numbers in particular are outstanding, but you can trust Stereo Nation in depicting the numbers with good visuals.
