Producer and film director Ramgopal Varma has ruled out joining politics and said the subject "politics" inspires him to make movies than any other contemporary subject in society.

Speculation is rife here after he met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here on Friday. He told that he has no plan to join politics.

"Nitish Kumar is an extremely friendly person I had ever met. All my perceptions about Bihar and its negative image in my mind has changed after meeting him," he said.

Varma was here for the promotion of his new film "Shiva" to be released on September 15.

The film director said he never got an oportunity to meet Bollywood's favourite politician Railway Minister Lalu Prasad.

"Bihar is a Sensitive state with all burning issues prevailing here and it is important to personally tell the people about - Shiva - as it is a unique film," he said.
