Her last film was 'Hope and A Little Sugar' in 2006, which premiered and won an award in October 2006, at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York. It was also the opening film in 2008 for the Opening Night Gala at BAFTA.
"Irrfan has loved the script; Tanuja had been working on it for a long time. It's a romcom revolving around an unlikely couple that falls in love on a road trip. The film is set in India and will roll in November," informs a source close to the project, adding that the 49-year-old actor will start filming after wrapping up Hindi Medium and concluding his promotions for Ron Howard's Inferno, in which he co-stars alongside Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks.Casting for the lead actress is currently underway.
"The makers are still scouting for talent for the role," adds the source. His last film 'Madaari' was a huge hit.
