After shuttler P.V. Sindhu clinched a silver medal at the Rio Olympics, Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar dug from the archives a special photograph in which he is seen playing badminton with her.

Akshay and Sindhu were partners during a match for the Premier Badminton League in the capital earlier this year. As a team, they played against Abhishek Bachchan and Jwala Gutta.

`Always knew you were an achiever. You managed to convert a cricket obsessed nation to watch badminton. P.V. Sindhu. Proud,` Akshay captioned the image which he posted on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Hailing the sportswoman, Akshay also tweeted: `Every cloud has a silver lining indeed! First Olympic silver in Badminton for India! Thank you. Huge respect`.

Sindhu bagged the silver medal in the women's singles competition of the Rio Olympics.
