Actor director Manoj Kumar wants to set up a college in the Braj area of Uttar Pradesh.

Manoj Kumar told a gathering during the annual three-day Swami Haridas Sangeet Mahotsava in Vrindavan, near here, that his ancestors were originally from Mant in Mathura district before they migrated to Lahore.

Manoj Kumar, whose family opted for India at the end of British rule in 1947, said he was proud of being a Brajwasi and a Saraswat Brahmin. He vowed to open a college in the region.
