Divakar, who is blind and was eliminated last week, has been brought back on the show through popular mandate on the Internet and through SMSes.
"It wasn't just about popular support and sympathy votes. Everyone thought Divakar was among the most gifted contestants. His elimination stunned everybody. So, we had to bring him and four other very promising contestants, Neha, Gurupreet, Arman and Prateek, back," Gajendra Singh, producer of the show, told.
However, the return of Divakar and his colleagues was not taken well by the judges. All three judges - Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and Bappi Lahiri - staged a walkout for what they see as an underhand and extra-constitutional move.
"But we coaxed them back, made them hear the five special contestants. By the end of the episode the judges agreed that Divakar should have never been eliminated," said Singh.
Special guest Javed Akhtar was stunned by Divakar's performance.
"Today you're the favourite on 'Little Champs'. Tomorrow you'll be a favourite all over India," said Akhtar appreciatively.
