Ali Fazal has sure come a long way from the college student 'Joy Lobo's' role in 3 Idiots to now on his way to becoming a lead Hollywood actor. Ali Fazal's charm has earned him a massive following especially amongst his female fans. The quintessential boy next door is growing upto becoming a suave actor who's catching the fancies of filmmakers from the west. His first breakthrough came with Furious 7 where he played a special cameo. Soon the actor will be seen working alongside Oscar winning actress, Judi Dench in a movie directed by award winning filmmaker Stephen Frears. As Ali Fazal celebrates his birthday in London where he is currently shooting for Victoria and Abdul, we trace back his journey from his hometown Lucknow to the streets of London on his journey to Hollywood!

First an athlete: Ali Fazal was born in Lucknow and studied engineering in Doon College of Engineering where he was professional athlete. He was a state level basketball player.

Ali's Hollywood debut: Ali almost didn't ge the part in Furious 7. Ali was out trekking in inaccessible locations of Himalayan mountains where he was trekking with his friends. To his luck, Ali somehow got some mobile network and chanced upon a message of a urgent screen test. With a lot of struggle Ali made his audition tape for Furious 7 and was soon casted for the role

Multi -Talented Ali: Ali Fazal isn't just a strong performer but also is a great musician and writer. Ali is a great guitarist and also has his way with the words. Ali writes short stories and poems in his spare time and we have heard the actor is also penning his first feature film script

Ali, the director? - Ali may soon be donning the hat of a director for a comedy short film for a script which has been written by his friend.

On his way to the big league - Ali Fazal will soon be seen as the leap opposite Judi Dench is a Universal and Focus Entertainment's Victoria and Abdul. The period film set in 1800's will have Ali play the role of Abdul Karim, an Indian servant who became close confidant of Queen Victoria and became one of the most influential Indian figures in the Royal Court in those times. The film is set for a release on September 22nd, 2017!
