The film said to be based on Govind Nihalani's "Ardh Satya" revolves around a cop played by Sonu Sood. The film is almost complete, just one song has to be canned, reports Bollywood.
"I am playing Sonu's wife in the film. It's about the trials and tribulations a couple witnesses. Unfortunately, I don't have any scenes with Om Puri but I really admire his work. I wish we had a few scenes together. Even Sonu is a dedicated actor," Rituparna says.
Rituparna says her director is a stickler for quality.
"Manish is talented and doesn't compromise on the quality of shots. He is very energetic and efficient."
She is also looking forward to her Bengali film "Anuranon". Directed by Anirudh Roy Chaudhary, the film is woven around four characters played by Rahul Bose, Raima Sen, Rajat Kapoor and Rituparna.
"'Anuranon' is about two couples. It is about how they discover life, marriage and friendship," the actress explains.
She asserts that she enjoys working with people who respect their work.
"My co-star Rahul is a perfectionist. Initially, he had a problem speaking Bengali," she laughs.
"But he has delivered an amazing performance. The film is complete and should release by the end of this year."
