With awards, accolades and multiple achievements to his credit, Ranveer Singh is sitting atop popularity and fame. Refreshingly though, this young superstar stays focused on his main motivation for being an actor. At a recent interview with Anupama Chopra, he said, "I came into this for the right reasons.

I was not lured in by the fame and the glamour. I really wanted to act in mainstream Hindi films because I love acting and I love mainstream Hindi films. At the core that's what it is, while I enjoy the fame and the perks of stardom. I wake up every day feeling really grateful that I am where I am and that I get to do what I am doing. Sometimes I can't even believe it!"


Given that his commitment to being an actor above all else comes ahead of everything, Ranveer's reasons for picking his forthcoming film, Befikre, build anticipation. He chose this film to do justice to his mentor and the film's director, Aditya Chopra's vision. He said, "The director has a lot of influences from his youth that he has never gotten to express in his films so far. There is a side of him that loves movies like "When Harry met Sally' that are universally loved and he has been wanting to recreate similar magic in Hindi cinema which he has finally done with Befikre. What's more he has chosen to do the film with Ranveer ...What more can an actor ask for!"

With Befikre set to hit screens this Friday, yet another facet of this versatile, flamboyant superstar promises to be unveiled.
