Salman Khan's Sultan was the first to release. The bombastic drama focused on the exploits of Olympic gold medalist Sultan Ali Khan (Salman) and the story of his rise in the world of wrestling followed by his resurgence in the world of mixed martial arts.
However, while Sultan was an entirely fictional film, Dangal is based on the real-life story of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari to become world-class wrestlers.
Dangal, which releases today, has received rave reviews from the critics with many calling the film one of India's best sports films. Others have lauded Aamir Khan for giving his finest performance till date in Dangal.
While the debate continues to rage on among Salman and Aamir fans regarding which film is better - Sultan or Dangal - Salman Khan went ahead and took to Twitter to say that his family loved Dangal more than Sultan.
Salman also added that while he loves Aamir Khan personally, he hates him professionally.
Well, here's hoping the two Khans make a comeback on the big screen. After all, Bollywood have been eagerly waiting for their Amar Prem for more than two decades.
