Victor has seldom been busier. After shooting non-stop for Anil Sharma's Apne he's all set to be seen in Anjan Datta's Bong Connection. "I play a bigoted Bengali in the US who looks down all the fringe people. I throw a chap out of my office because he's gay. Not a nice man to know.
I've worked with the same director Anjan Dutta recently in Bow Barracks Forever. I love my character and the film. Lilette Dubey plays the central role. I play this character called Peter The Cheater who's a bit of a rogue. This is one film I'm really proud of. And I'm so glad Pritish Nandy Communications is releasing it soon."
After Bong Connection Victor completed Apne. "My first bondafide potboiler," the refined Passage To India actor is proud of his stint in Anil Sharma's big film. Victor is still baffled by the whole experience of doing a Big Bollywood Film.
"I've done Bollywood films before... Lekh Tandon's Doosri Dulhan where I was totally miscast. In Apne I'm far more comfortable. I was told my role was a combination of Clint Eastwood in Million Dollar Baby and Rajesh Khanna in Anand. That did it. No more thought."
Shooting with the Deols has been an absolutely charming experience for Victor. "Dharmendra is so caring. He looked after me as though he was the host, which in many ways he was. Bobby was almost like a younger brother and Sunny was the strong and silent type...A complete family, and that's what Apne required."
Victor is at a stage of his career where he requires to work more than ever. "I want to do all kinds of films. I want to stop being known as an actor who works selectively."
