Actress and host Mandira Bedi has worn several hats in her career spanning 21 years. She catapulted to fame as 'Shanti' on the small screen and was later seen in the popular show 'Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'... She also made her presence felt on the big screen with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. Though she has become choosy about the roles she takes up, she is all for substantial work across all mediums.

Mansdira has teamed up with Gul Panag and Kushal Punjabi for a short film

"The Gift". Mandira is playing a character of a young modern and edgy girl friend. Mandira has maintained herself very well and she looks so like a young girl and she lives the character to the core, says a source. ​There are three main characters in the film, A husband a wife and a girlfriend. Mandira plays the girlfriend in this film. She is edgy, provocative and a woman who knows how to get her way.
