Why do they have to use my name for publicity? I wish they'd get their own life. I've spoken to the production people and they're taking action against these charges."
About Gurdeep's charge that Amna couldn't forget Rajiv Khandelawal as Sujal Amna sighs. "How unprofessional can a person get! I'm a thorough professional. And I don't think I expect too much to get a level of professionalism from my co-stars.
At the end of the day it didn't matter to me who played Sujal. Because I was reacting on screen to Sujal, not the actor who played the character. What matters to me is my unit and technicians and not someone who doesn't know the 'A' of Amna "
Though Amna refuses to comment any further it's commonly known that Gurdeep Kohli threw attitude from the time he replaced Khandelwal.
Says a member of the Kahin To Hoga (KTH) crew, "Rajiv was an angel compared to who came later. This guy behaved like he knew it all when in fact he was completely raw and wooden in front of the camera.
Amna stopped talking to him after a while. He made her life hell. He was impossible to handle. Rajiv, Amna and the whole team worked hard to make the show work. Whereas the replacement just stepped into Rajiv's shoes."
Amna wonders why there's so much mud-slinging when the show is about to end. "Could it be because some people from the unit are insecure about their future and need to get noticed? In fact to date I haven't been informed that our show is coming to an end.
I certainly don't have a problem with Ekta Kapoor. I've been associated with Kahiin To Hoga and Balajee Telefilms for four years. If I had my way I'd work in KTH till the end of my acting career. Whatever I am today is because of the show."
In the same breath Amna admits she wants to move ahead. "I'm looking ahead in life I'm looking at a couple of other potential soaps. What I do next will be watched with hawk's eyes. And I'll be ripped apart if I fall short of KTH."
Amna admits she has met Sandip Sickand, the new creative head of Sony who's left Balajee Telefilms. "But nothing has been decided. I'll be taking up one project, another daily. But I want to take a break at least for a month after KTH ends."
Amna is also looking at a movie career in 2007. "While I'm moving forward some people have no choice but to keep looking behind."
