Reacting to the court's decision, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said that he doesn't understand why this debate is still happening.
Bhandarkar shared an Instagram post in which he can be seen saying, "I don't know why this debate is still happening. Why people would not want to stand for the national anthem? I feel it was a good decision."
The 'Indu Sarkar' helmer also noted that people don't have any problem standing in theatres for snacks, so why do they have problem in standing for the national anthem.
"People stand in line for snack in theatres, I also do, so why people have problem in standing for 52 seconds to give respect to a country's flag. That is the biggest tribute we can give to our country, to the soldiers and we should all be proud of that. This is our country's national anthem, not some other country's," noted Bhandarkar.
