In a welcome move, Honourable Supreme Court has suspended the bans on Bollywood film Padmaavat imposed by few states. Supreme court also restrains other states from issuing similar orders.

Yesterday the producers of 'Padmaavat' have moved Supreme Court after few states have said they will not allow the film to be released. The top court had agreed to hear the plea of producers.

Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana had banned the release of the film, which is slated to release on 25th January 2018.

Ever since the announcement the film has been embroiled in many controversies and has faced many protests by various groups and outfits.

Meanwhile, Rajput Karni Sena has threatened to set theatres on fire which will screen the film.
