It is for the first time that Radhika Apte won't be available for her film's release.

The actress is currently in Delhi away from the promotional spree of her next Padman due to her work commitments.

The change in the release date has caused unavailability of the actress for the promotions as well as for the film's release date.

Expressing her helplessness in marking her physical presence for the promotions of the film Radhika Apte shared,"Padman is a very special film. It is unfortunate that the dates of shooting my other film and promotions of Padman clashed. It is for the first time that I have been away before a film release. However, I am trying to do as much as I can to promote the film even in my physical absence."

The actress has made a prior commitment and had alotted her dates for the month for Feb to filming her upcoming film in Delhi, leaving her with no dates to accommodate and partake in the promotions of Padman.


Making most of Radhika's presence in Delhi team Padman requesting the actress's attendance at the press conference of the film held in the capital city.

In a special request, Radhika made time from her hectic shooting schedule and joined the team of Padman during the Delhi promotions at the last minute.

Radhika Apte who has overtime pioneered in depicting characters based in a small-town setting, be it her critically acclaimed films like Manjhi: The Mountain man or Parched, will be seen playing a pivotal role in Padman.

The actress plays the role of Akshay Kumar's wife who proves to be an inspiration to him turning Padman.

The film marks Radhika back on celluloid in an avatar similar to her look in Rajinikanth starrer Kabali.
