Popular actor Irfan Khan is full of praise for Angelina Jolie, his co-star in the movie A Mighty Heart, currently being filmed in Gujarat, a news report said.

. Describing Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt as very friendly, Khan said: "We did get along well from the start."

"The rest you will know when you see the film," a daily newspaper quoted Irfan Khan as saying.

Irfan Khan hit stardom with his superb performance two years ago in a Bollywood movie, Maqbool, inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth.

He has acted since then in several movies, including The Warrior, The Namesake and Partition.

A Mighty Heart is currently being shot in Pune. Jolie plays Mariane Pearl and Dan Futterman portrays Daniel Pearl.

The Wall Street Journal reporter was abducted and murdered in Pakistan in 2002 while researching a story on Islamic militancy.

"I have never marketed myself, except longing for good work," the daily quoted Khan as saying.

Khan said he was in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad when he got a call for A Mighty Heart, asking for his photographs. "I had mailed them through my wife."

The movie is based on an adaptation of Mariane Pearl's book, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl, and is co-produced by Plan B, a production company founded by Brad Pitt and his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston.
