Nagesh Kuknoor directed 'Dor' will be the opening film at the Atlanta Indo-American Film Festival.

This is in addition to its screening at the Indo American Arts Council (IAAC) in New York.

Speaking about the success of 'Dor', Kukunoor said the film will celebrate its 50 days tomorrow.

''Sometimes an idea leaps out at you and a story writes itself.

This is how it happened with 'Dor'. With the most incredible team I have ever worked with, 'Dor' has been my most satisfying film.'' The film was produced by Sahara One Motion Pictures and Percept Picture Company (PPC), who have produced other films like 'Hanuman', 'Malamaal Weekly' and 'Corporate'.

The film's star cast includes Ayesha Takia, Gul Panag, Shreyas Talpade, Girish Karnad and Pratiksha Lonkar. It canvases the journey of two women from different worlds and how the two sets of lives come together through a tryst of destiny.
