For past few days, there have been lots of speculations and rumours doing the rounds about the health of Irrfan Khan. Now refuting all the rumours about his health, Irrfan Khan has clarified that he is suffering from a rare disease which is called as 'NeuroEndocrine Tumor' and for its cure Irrfan is going out of the country.

The actor took to social media and wrote,

`Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect`.
- Margaret Mitchell

The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research ;-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.

A neuroendocrine tumour may grow slowly or aggressively and spread to other parts of the body.

Many people do not develop symptoms and the tumour is detected incidentally. When symptoms occur, they can vary based on the location of the tumour. In rare cases, skin flushing or fluctuating blood sugar levels may occur.

Treatment depends on the type of tumour. Some approaches may include surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.
v We wish a speedy recovery to the actor.
