The TADA court has held Dutt guilty under the Arms Act for illegal possession of arms, but categorically said he was "not a terrorist".
Dutt and warsi became hugely popular as Munnabhai and Circuit after the stupendous success of their latest movie Lage Raho and Munnabhai and its earlier avatar Munnabhai MBBS.
In an emotional letter that Warsi wrote to Dutt on the eve of the verdict, the former urged the latter not to 'take tension' at all and said that he was looking forward for "a hug from him tomorrow evening".
"I would have been happier if he had not been held guilty at all, but am still relieved that he has been convicted on milder charges," said a moved Warsi to a private news channel just after TADA court held Dutt guilty for 'illegal possessions of arms' and acquitted him of serious charges 'of conspiring the Mumbai serial blasts'.
"Everybody makes mistakes, big or small and every actor in the film industry at one point of time must have thought of possessing a weapon. We all fear for our security. I get calls even though I am a nobody," Warsi added.
The bail granted to Dutt has brought cheers in the faces of Dutt's friends and relatives, who accompanied him to special TADA court.
Just after he was pronounced guilty, Dutt had urged TADA court Judge P D Kode that he is the only one to take care of his daughter, presently studying in US.
Kode had then asked Dutt to 'wait' and that consideration on his plea would be taken later.
Mumbai film industry would be heaving a sigh of relief with Dutt's bail plea being accepted as the fate of many films hang on balance, as they are at different stages of production.
According to a film journal estimate, the fate of a close to 140 to 160 crores rupees of money in the industry is dependent on the actor's fate.
