Remixes ruin the original version of the songs, said Kunal Ganjawala whose voice mesmerised listeners with ''Bheege Honth tere''.

He said there is an urgent need to stop the obscene gestures which are being served in the form of remix songs.

Kunal -- who is here for a presentation during the ongoing Safai Mahotsav told, ''Bollywood has always boasted of melodious music since time immemorial. There is no dearth of original music and the credit goes to various music directors of all genres.

But after a wave of originality, it now seems that the music industry is running low on creativity as the new order of the day is remixes.'' Remixing old melodies and then making women dance atrociously to it is not acceptable to me at all. It ruins the aesthetics of the music and the dance.

Even if the dance is compulsory, why show women wearing such bare minimum cloth in all the videos, when it can be done more tastefully, Kunal maintained.

Indian classical music is like the river Ganga, it can never run dry, and it is limitless, he added.

Kunal said ''the age old question that remains is whether DJ remix albums spell good or bad for the music industry? the answer is certainly opposite. Remixes ruin the original version of the song.
