Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, URI is creating buzz ever since the trailer has released. Based on true events, Ronnie Screwvala's URI is based on the 2016 Indian army's surgical strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation for the terror attack on an Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.

The 2016 URI attacks which was a response from the Indian government to the terrorism were much acknowledged and appreciated by the citizens of our nation. But the next question arises in the minds of people is that will India be up for retaliation in future again?

Talking and promoting about their upcoming movie URI, Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam are getting a lot of responses and queries from the masses whether Indian government will give a similar befitting reply whenever next a terrorist attack happens?

It's not every day you get to see a Hindi film showcase the feats of the Indian army with intricate details of the incident. The youth ever since the film announcement have been very eager to know about the research that went into the script and how the director spent six months fleshing our key moments in the script. it's interesting to see that the film boasts of an ensemble cast has all the young actors of the industry portraying some key roles comprising of Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kriti Kulhari amongst others. The young breed of actor's involvement and key roles in the movie definitely shows what the youngest of actors in our industry feel about the surgical strikes.

In 2016, nearly 10 days after the Uri attack that claimed 18 jawans, India was under the BJP governance which carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists and 'those protecting them" and indicating a change of stand on the rules of engagement on the disputed line of control.

The Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on a certain night on terror launch pads across the Line of Control in a fitting response to Pakistan for the Uri attacks conducted by the country. The strikes were conducted when Pakistan did not mend ways after repeated diplomatic efforts to check terrorism originating from their soil.

Surgical strikes require not just detailed and exhaustive planning but need to be carried out with absolute precision to achieve the objective of taking down targets with either no or minimal collateral damage.

For the first time in the history of Indian Army, our nation took an initiative to attack an enemy, making the strike more special. The response to the trailer has been overwhelming and the nation is looking forward to the movie.

Produced by RSVP movies and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on 11th January 2019.
