Ken Russell, the 79-year-old filmmaker who left the house with the agreement of Big Brother on Sunday, has today given the Bollywood star a big thumbs up.
Acting as the guest Big Brother ‘Bitch' in The Sun, he described Shilpa as "a lovely princess", and added: "Gorgeous and very spiritual. We used to hum together."
Last evening Shilpa enjoyed something of a romantic moment with former pop star and West End stage performer Ian from Steps.
Ian snuggled up to Shilpa and laid his head on her shoulders on Monday night.
But the blossoming romance was interrupted by Jade Goody's mother, Jackiey, who has been a source of irritation for the Bollywood siren.
Jade's mum Jackiey has spent the week claiming she can't pronounce Shilpa's name and former beauty queen Danielle has followed suit.
'I asked for smoked mackerel and whatsername, Shullup, just looked at me like I was stupid,' complained Danielle. 'She's so controlling and bossy. I don't like that.'
Jade and Jo agreed that the Indian actress was 'too fake'.
But journalist Carole Malone stuck up for Shilpa saying 'she's done nothing wrong'.
Out in the garden just before 9.30pm, the Indian actress aloud her fears of Jackiey.
As Ian rested his head on Shilpa's shoulders, she said: "I'm dreading Jackiey coming out. If she comes in this area, I am running away!"
Ian smiled at her and said he was fascinated by Jackiey, to which Shilpa responded: "One part of me loves her but by the time it's night, I've had enough. I like her until afternoon but that's as much as I can take."
Ian said he had yet to spend a whole day with her.
Jackiey, her daughter Jade, a previous Big Brother winner, and Jade's boyfriend Jack, were parachuted into the house three days ago.
The house was then separated, as three contestants - Shilpa, Jermaine Jackson, a brother of Michael, and Russell - were invited to join the Goody clan in a separate section.
The remaining seven housemates were designated as ‘servants' and were ordered to serve a special dinner for the others on Sunday evening, when Jade`s grandparents were the special unannounced guests.
Shilpa loved the grandparents and kissed them and thought they were lovely. "They remind me of my grandparents," she added.
Shilpa, Jermaine, Jackie and Jack are up for eviction on Friday. Singer Danny Tourette left the house on Sunday after scaling the walls.
Shilpa is suffering from the handicap that the non-Asian population of Britain, which makes up most of the viewership, are not even aware of who she is. Now only the Asian community can save Shilpa if they vote in droves for her stay in the house.
