"I did not get a very encouraging team. Neither the producer nor the scriptwriter was very helpful so I have decided not to do any more serial with the same group," Johny Lever told reporters here.
Johny, who had signed a three years contract with Zee TV for the comedy show, said that even after having a 'bad' team, he had managed to drag the serial for a long time and completed 25 serials.
" I won't work for comedy shows from now until and unless I get a very good team," Johny said.
John Roa, now known as Johny Lever, is presently visiting Andaman and Nicobar islands and had presented Johny Lever Show yesterday night in Port Blair.
Talking to media persons after visiting the permanent shelter construction site for tsunami hit homeless people in Bambooflat Islands of Andaman, Jonhy said that the overall experience of working for TV serial is 'good' and he has learnt many things from it.
152 permanent shelters sites in Bambooflat area inspected by the comedy actor today were being constructed by Hindustani Convenant Church.
" Our film industry has worked a lot for collecting funds for tsunami relief and I feel happy to see the permanent shelter construction work in these islands," he said after inspecting the site.
Johny, who runs a Johny Lever Trust in Mumbai for treatment of needy people, said that since childhood he had believed in charity.
" When I was just 12 years old I used to distribute coconut water for patients from the money I earned from street shows," he said.
Johny said he was planning to produce comedy films like Kishore Kumar and Mehmood, which would have some message too.
