Actress Ananya Panday who is currently shooting in Lucknow for her next film was invited by a prestigious college in the city to address their students for her social media initiative, 'So Positive' which also is her passion where she shared it all!

The actress who has also been the target of social media trolling has started an initiated on anti-social media bullying, which every person on social media can relate too.

Ananya Panday was invited by an esteemed college Isabella Thoburn College in Lucknow, as a speaker to interact with the students on So Positive where she met about 4000 students.


While addressing the students at the college Ananya shared her thoughts on why she chose such an interesting topic, "So Social Media is a place where I get a lot of love and maybe most of you know me because of Social Media. So the reason I am standing over here is because of Social Media. I don't think I would have had the confidence to come and speak over here. Social Media has given me so much love and its such a positive place. I love being on Instagram, I love posting, I could be just eating a Pizza or chilling with my friends, I will be posting that on Instagram. Because I want to show people the real side of me and I want them to see the unfiltered version of me. So because there is such a nice side of Social Media. I don't want anyone of you to feel that we shouldn't be on Social Media because we will be bullied. Its really unfair for you all to believe that you all can't be on Instagram, just because one person is hating you. I have got confidence in life from such nice people out there in Social Media. I just want to bring out that nice side more."


The actress further added, "I think it's so scary in this world. There are so many people who don't have a heart like you (College student). The most important thing you should know is to keep your privacy. and keep that safe. So I think just try to be private on Social Media as much as you can. I had a private account but now as I am working and I want to connect with all of you, so that's why I have made it public. So just make sure that you are extremely private about your locations. You just can't stop people from creating new accounts. Most of the time just ignore them and I think blocking is actually an action, you are actually taking a step. Better than blocking just ignore them, they will also get fed up and stop bothering you."

So Positive is a social media platform which intends to fight social media bullying and provides a voice to those who are going through it, or have been through it.

So Positive is an original cause taken up by Ananya which is backed with substantial data, research, and behavioural statistics. The initiative aims at creating and spreading awareness about social media bullying. The initiative's prime focus is to make people aware of the fact that this issue exists and stays very prevalent in society. Also, the steps that can be taken by the recipients of this destructive criticism in order to deal with this.
