'The Girl on the Train' Remake Sets in Motion with Parineeti Chopra
In yet another case of Bollywood being strapped for ideas and aping the west for imitation, we are presented with the news of 'The Girl on the Train' remake. The the creative team behind the remake have managed to obtain the talents of Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Kirti Kulhari with Ribhu Dasgupta (TE3N) in the director's chair.

As presented to us by Parineeti Chopra's latest Instagram post, the cameras have started rolling as of today in London. She has called it "her most difficult role till date" and feels thoroughly occupied with it. She went on saying that the first look shall be presented soon, speaking no further of the film's title or other juicy on-set details.

The book to screen adaptations has always been a hallowed ground with a not so fantastic track record. There's a world of difference between these two mediums, with the film not always capturing the intricacies of vivid textual details of books. 'The Girl on the Train' is a bestseller by Paula Hawkins, which tells us how Rachel (played by Emily Blunt in the Hollywood adaptation), an alcoholic divorcee gets obsessed with the lives of a young couple and later entangled in a missing person's case. While the Emily Blunt starrer collapsed at the Box Office, we surely hope for a better fate for the Bollywood adaptation.
