Excellent news for Ammy Virk and Harjeeta fans, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi and Sawan Rupowali starrer Harjeeta has bagged 2 National Film awards at the 66th National Film Awards, Best Punjabi Film and Best Child Actor (Sameep Singh Ranaut).

The film did not do well at the box office but the hard work and dedication put into it by the team have finally paid off.

The writer of the film Jagdeep Sidhu was overjoyed with the news and shared a screenshot of the message he received from actor Ammy Virk after the film failed to rake moolah at the box office,

Harjeeta starred Ammy Virk in the lead role as an aspiring hockey player from a small town who hails from a poor family and goes on to become the captain of the Indian Hockey Team in the Junior Hockey World Cup.
