Sammir Dattani who has three releases coming up in the first quarter of 2007, had a 36-hour birthday binge with all his friends on his birthday on Jan 27.

"Actually, the parties started on Friday night with my usual family lunch with which I bring in my birthday every year. Then I partied with various groups of friends until Sunday afternoon. I'm still recovering."

Sammir who describes himself as a "gift person" says he went berserk with the presents this year.

"My parents gave me a new plasma tv and a very close and special friend gifted me a Sony lap-top. Then there was a very special call from my favourite director Sanjay Bhansali. I was ecstatic.

But the best birthday gift was my director Vikram Bhatt with whom I share my birthday calling my performance in his film Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi a 'revelation'. I'm still reeling."
