After adding 'Mad Men' scribe Jonathan Igla, Disney has been quick to expand on the casting as well. Variety has reported that the 'Pitch Perfect 2' star has signed on for the role of Kate Bishop in the upcoming spin-off series 'Hawkeye.'

It is believed that the show will see Clint Barton showing the ropes to a young Kate Bishop, destined to take over as the bow-and-arrow wielding Avenger. The show doesn't have a release date as of now, but will not debut until the fall of of 2021 along with 'Loki', 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', and 'WandaVision' for Disney +.

Steinfeld is no stranger to movie franchises, having starred in 'Pitch Perfect' 2 movies, 'Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse' and 'Bumblebee'. She will be seen as Emily Dickinson in the upcoming Apple TV series 'Dickinson' opposite Ella Hunt.
