The trailer and the songs had already won the hearts of the audience with their strong endeavours and high pitched drama which significantly increased their expectations from the film.
Not disappointing fans the film as per early reviews is strong on its content and delivers some excellent performances. The director and screenplay writer Deva Katta infuses quite a few twists to keep you engaged and makes the film worth your time.
Sanjay Dutt is impressive in his role as a determined leader and a vulnerable father while Ali Fazal makes the most of his well-written character. He exudes an easy charm as a young political leader and a responsible elder brother.
True to its background the film will make it a point to keep your drama quotient high while keeping its brilliantly scripted content of the forefront.
Just like Kabir Singh which was a cult film, Prassthanam is also one with a mass appeal owing to its storyline. Interestingly, the director of the film of both the South Indian film and Hindi remake is the same i.e Deva Katta. It has been learned that the producers wanted to keep the authenticity intact with the Hindi version thus they bought in the same director.
Set in a contemporary political family in Lucknow, Prassthanam deals with complex questions on dharma, morality, desire, right and wrong.
The film also casts Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Satyajeet Dubey Manisha Koirala, and Amyra Dastur all of who play pivotal roles.
The film is produced by Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanayata Dutt. Prassthanam will hit the theatres on September 20, 2019.
