
Written by Hossein Amini (Drive), the series is set eight years after the event of the prequel movie "Revenge of the Sith" and will follow the continuing adventures of the Jedi master as he deals with the fallout of Anakin's betrayal and seeks his own new path.
"We really wanted to select a director who is able to explore both the quiet determination and rich mystique of Obi-Wan in a way that folds seamlessly into the Star Wars saga. Based on her phenomenal work developing our characters in The Mandalorian, I'm absolutely confident Deborah is the right director to tell this story." said LucasFilm head Kathleen Kennedy.
The "Obi-Wan" series is yet to have to release for the streaming platform Disney +.
